| CompuMail Wins 6 Awards in New England Regional Printing Awards of Excellence Competition |

The Printing Industries of New England (PINE) has announced that CompuMail Corp. of Southington, Connecticut is a multi-award winner in the Association’s New England regional Awards of Excellence Competition. The announcement was made November 16th during PINE’s 2010 Industry Awards Gala, held at the Newton Marriott in Newton, MA, with hundreds of industry professionals in attendance. PINE’s Awards of Excellence Competition, attracted over 200 entries from 35 printing and imaging companies across New England competing in a variety of printing and graphic communications categories such as best annual report, direct mail campaign, corporate identity package, and more. CompuMail won 1 Pinnacle Award (Best of Category) and 4 Awards of Recognition (2nd Place). Gala attendees had the opportunity to cast a secret ballot vote for their favorite selection from the gallery of winning pieces and again, CompuMail was selected by their peers for the Peoples Choice Award for the dimensional (tactile) printing of the 13th Annual Water Tasting By The Sea poster for The Vineyard House. A panel of three judges with extensive experience in printing and print production examined the wide range of work submitted. Tim Burton, Burton & Mayer, Menomonee Falls, WI; Paul Schmitz, Schmitz Press, Sparks, MD; and Art Stowe, former president of the Printing & Graphics Association Mid Atlantic. Each entry was judged anonymously on its own merit in a category with similar printed pieces. The judging criteria included: registration, clarity and neatness, sharpness of halftones and line drawings, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, overall visual impact and bindery.
